THIS WEEK’S FIELD TIP
We all get busy. And there’s no doubt there are areas of neglect around your fields. It happens to the best of us. But it’s a matter of how quickly you catch up that makes the difference. If lips formed at your infield skin / turf edge and you didn’t make time to cut those down, then now is a great time to attack those lips.
Ideally, you were able to keep them under control. Lips affect playability with bad hops, but they also affect drainage which can lead to all sorts of other problems. With your seasons winding down, now is a great time for getting a handle on any lips that may have formed this summer. We have great information in general about lips, but then also specifically how to remove them. To learn more, keep reading at our Groundskeeper University lesson, 103.
